After serving as a marketing intern at Transnet, at the age of 22 Zimasa and Emmanuel Mphande (then business partner) created a student event placement company that focused on Below-The-Line marketing activations and corporate event logistics services. The key was seeing a commercial value opportunity in creating value for clients by alleviating the cumbersome task of crowd sourcing and managing capable candidates for various event logistics supply chain activities as well as on the ground crew management at events, activations and corporate functions. We excelled at this and became a de-facto staffing solutions and crew logistics supplier to a handful of JHB based medium sized companies.
